Bahria Town Karachi

Bahria Town Karachi is a large-scale community by Bahria Town, launched in 2014 on around 46,000 acres off the Karachi–Hyderabad Motorway (M-9). Often described as a city within a city, it offers residential and commercial plots, villas and apartments across several precincts.

The developer, Bahria Town, was founded by Malik Riaz Hussain in 1996, and its other projects include Bahria Town Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore and Nawabshah. The legacy page reports that most of the Karachi development was completed within eight years of launch and that thousands of families already live there.

Location and access

The community lies about 9 km from the M-9, giving access from within Karachi and for traffic arriving from outside the city. It is roughly 30 minutes from Jinnah International Airport and from Baqai Medical University, and about 3 minutes from Great Fiesta Family Water Park. It was deliberately placed away from the city centre to allow space for its scale, and a shuttle service runs three times daily to Sohrab Goth and twice daily to Malir Halt.

What's on offer

• Bahria Sports City: residential plots from 125 to 2,000 Sq. Yd., commercial plots of 125 to 250 Sq. Yd., and a planned international-standard cricket stadium
• Bahria Golf City: an overseas block built around a 27-hole golf course
• Bahria Paradise: laid out around a large central park, with 250 to 1,000 Sq. m residential plots and 500 Sq. m villas (approx. 4,700 sq ft covered area)
• Bahria Hills: a newer sector beside the theme parks
• Apartments: 2-, 3- and 4-bed units in Bahria Town Apartments, with 2-bed units also in Bahria Heights

Day-to-day services are provided inside the community, including backup electricity with a dedicated grid station, gated access and security, hospitals, schools and colleges, a Jamia Mosque, cinemas, Bahria Adventure Land theme park, parks, a gym, and cycling and jogging tracks.

Payment plans were not published as tables on the legacy page; it notes that residential plots in Bahria Golf City were offered with a 25% down payment and a 4-year quarterly installment plan.
